Proposal for photo documentation of beans
Together with a dry, a physiologycal mature and (if possible at the same time) a green pod, also seeds from longitudinal and hilum sight are presented together with a measuring tape.
The photos are named after the Accession-number in JPG-Format ( ACCENUMB.jpg ) so that they easily can be linked to an accession.
For the background a light grey paper is recommendable, as grey is colour neutral/colour sensitive, because when grey is displayed as grey all colours are right.
A normal digital compact camera is sufficient. A table tripod with lamps is recommendable.
Available paper-photos or slides easily can be scanned.
According to experience for internet presentation it is sufficent to have the photos sized not larger than about 1000 x 700 pixels and medium compressed.
